Job Duties

To provide payroll processing and reconciliation of earnings and fringe benefits for
all Department of Corrections (DOC) agencies (31) to ensure that all 11,000+ employees are paid timely and accurately in compliance with existing DOC, State and Federal guidelines and laws.

To perform the processing and reconciliation responsibilities associated with the administration of the payroll and benefit accounting functions for assigned agencies while maintaining a strong level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions with DOC agencies, outside support agencies, and coworkers.

Minimum Qualifications

Current and extensive payroll processing experience to include processing large volumes of payroll transactions timely. Experience analyzing payroll transactions for compliance with payroll procedures and regulations, to perform detailed work with numerical data, and to make mathematic calculations rapidly and accurately; to apply and explain established payroll policies, procedures, and regulations.

Additional Considerations

Proficient in Personal Computer (PC) applications including Microsoft (MS) Excel and Word. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and to adapt to changes in policies, procedures, and priorities.
