Job Duties

$3,500 Sign-On Bonus or up to $10,000 Student Loan Repayment may be available for eligible new hires

LPNs provide evidence-based nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, supporting safe and accurate medication management and basic clinical services. They screen patients for sick call, administer medications, provide first aid and basic life support, and document all relevant information in the medical record. The Pharmacy Nurse maintains communication with security and treatment staff to support patient care and assists the provider in organizing treatment plans. The role requires ongoing competency through education and correctional‑specific training, flexibility in scheduling, and the ability to work in various clinical areas as needed to meet institutional requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of practical nursing principles, medication handling, and general nursing care.

Ability to screen patient complaints, collect basic clinical information, and refer cases appropriately.

Ability to maintain accurate documentation, administer first aid, and carry out provider orders.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions and deliver safe, appropriate nursing care.

Additional Considerations

Experience working in a corrections or law enforcement environment.

Experience or training in general nursing and emergency medical care.

Experience with medication management, inventory processes, or pharmacy-related tasks is beneficial.
