The Department of Endocrinology (Basu Lab) is seeking a candidate to work as a PRN phlebotomist. This position will support clinical research and the hours will be variable depending on when a patient is admitted to the study.
The phlebotomist must have expertise in venipuncture and maintaining IV patency for frequent blood draws. Prior experience in preparing IV infusions is a plus.
Job-related duties include communicating with the study team, processing blood samples, sample collections per study guidelines, attention to details, and following IRB-approved protocol.

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience: 1 year relevant experience preferred Licensure: Certification with a nationally recognized phlebotomy organization preferred

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping and climbing (ladder, steps); Repetitive motion: extension and flexion at wrist. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull
