Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Reynolds is seeking a Campus Police Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This role involves enforcing state laws and campus regulations, responding to routine and emergency situations, and ensuring the protection of campus property. The officer serves as a visible presence on campus, promoting safety and providing exceptional customer service. Duties include patrolling campus grounds, operating police vehicles and equipment, responding to alarms, writing reports, and assisting with investigations.

The position may also involve overseeing part-time security staff and implementing security protocols. Requires a current certification or the ability to obtain certification as a campus police officer as mandated by the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position. The bonus will be paid in two installments: the first installment after successful completion of six (6) months of continuous employment and the remaining installment after successful completion of twelve (12) months of continuous employment.
