Position Summary:
The Stravitz‐Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health is recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join Dr. Arun Sanyal’s lab. The research within the institute focuses on tackling liver diseases with new ways to prevent, reverse and cure them. Our team of highly specialized physician-scientists conducts cutting-edge investigations through benchmark research and clinical trials across a broad spectrum of diseases and conditions related to liver. The Institute engages in multiple partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions to accelerate translational research. You will work alongside luminaries and key opinion leaders in the fields of liver and metabolic health to accelerate and translate discoveries into clinical practice.
This postdoctoral position will work on the development of computational and analytic methods for the analysis of large population scale datasets. You will work with multi-modal imaging, lifestyle, and genomic datasets including UKBiobank, TriNetX and EHR data.
Postdoctoral employment is normally limited to an individual who has been awarded a doctoral degree within the previous five years. This is a 12-month appointment with the possibility of renewal (for an additional 1-2 years in one-year increments) contingent upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary is based on NRSA scale for postdoctoral stipends – NOT-OD-25-105. This position will remain open until filled. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment.
