Job Description
Virginia Tech is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral associate in the phenomenology group with interests including but not limited to neutrinos, dark matter, model-building, and/or particle-astrophysics.
The phenomenology group consists of three faculty, Shunsaku Horiuchi, Patrick Huber, and Ian Shoemaker, within the Center for Neutrino Physics that consists of more than a dozen faculty in both theory and experiment. The primary duties of the position will consist of research in theoretical high energy physics, writing peer-reviewed publications and presenting research results to a wider research community both regionally and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics or another closely related field. PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining. - Ability to work independently, while at the same time contributing constructively as part of a team.
