Postdoctoral Fellow (Drug Delivery & Biomaterials)

Position Responsibilities:

The School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutics invites you to apply for our postdoctoral fellow position! The Department is currently seeking a postdoctoral fellow in the Nanotherapeutics Lab (https://nanotherapeutics.pharmacy.vcu.edu/) directed by Dr. Qingguo Xu. This research program is translational research to develop novel therapeutics to treat eye diseases, lung diseases and opioid use disorders with enhanced efficacy and improved patient compliance. Passionate and driven researchers with a strong background in pharmaceutics, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or other biomedical research are strongly encouraged to apply. The postdoc fellow will participate in NIH- and FDA-funded research projects and get comprehensive training in translational therapeutics.

Required Qualifications:

-Successful candidates must hold a PhD in the field of pharmaceutics, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related area.
-Incumbent must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research group.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong background in pharmaceutics, drug delivery, biomaterials or other biomedical research preferred.
