Postdoctoral Fellow

Position Summary & Primary Responsibilities:

A postdoctoral research position is available to work on an NIH-funded project. The position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in Structural Biology to study the functions of NS1 proteins from Parvoviruses using X-Ray Crystallography, Cryo-EM, SAXS and other techniques.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

•The candidate should have a PhD degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Structural Biology or a related field, and prior experience in molecular biology, cell culture, protein expression, purification and characterization.

Preferred Hiring Standards:

•The candidates should have excellent verbal and written scientific communication skills with experience in writing proposals and manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.

•Ability to design and perform experiments, and to analyze and interpret data.

•Ability to maintain detailed documentation through electronic and notebook means.

•Ability to work independently as well as ability to work professionally and efficiently within the research group as a team player.
