The School of Pharmacy, Department of Medicinal Chemistry invites you to apply for our Postdoctoral Fellow position in the lab of Dr. Shijun Zhang. The candidate will be involved and conduct research to characterize small molecule compounds using biochemical, biophysical, and molecular biology techniques to develop therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or Molecular biology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as an employee at VCU
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experiences in biochemical and molecular biology skills and assays
- Additional experiences in protein expression/purification are preferred
