Job Description:
Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC)  is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. The college is supported by the Commonwealth of Virginia; the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion) and Rockbridge; the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, and Lexington; and the town of Clifton Forge. DSLCC provides opportunities for the extension of knowledge, skills and personal enrichment in an environment that maintains high academic standards and respect for each individual. The college strives to keep programs and services financially and geographically accessible for all students. Credit and non-credit courses are offered to meet life-long learning needs. MGCC is accepting applications for adjunct faculty for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semester terms to perform clinical teaching and evaluation with the Practical Nursing students in the following clinical practices: Med Surgical and Health Assessment.
Minimum Qualifications:

Current licensure as a registered nurse in Virginia. ADN required. A minimum of two years’ full-time work experience in the field.

Effective written and oral communication skills; Excellent organizational skills; Flexibility and ability to prioritize and work independently; Critical thinking and clinical judgement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Nursing from an accredited institution.
