Job Duties:

This position also supports procurement file integrity and records management across the agency's three primary recordkeeping systems (Shared network drive, eVA, contract database) and performs contract closeout for assigned contracts. This position ensures that routine procurement transactions, contract administration questions, and records management work receive dedicated attention. All procurement activities are conducted through eVA, the Commonwealth's electronic procurement system.
We are seeking Procurement Officer to support the efficient processing of a broad range of procurement transactions across both technology and non-technology categories, including contract renewals, simple-to-moderate modifications, and simplified acquisitions. In addition to transactional responsibilities, this position serves as a day-to-day resource to contract administrators — answering questions, providing guidance on contract administration procedures and supplier performance documentation.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Completes duties and/or projects as needed or directed by supervisor.
Minimum QualificationsL
Experience:
• Experience managing multiple concurrent tasks while ensuring compliance with VPPA and agency policies.
• VCA or VCARM certification, or ability to obtain one within 1 year of employment
Knowledge:
• Solid working knowledge in public procurement methods.
• Proficiency with eVA and related contract management systems.
Skills:
• Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills are essential for selecting appropriate procurement pathways.
• Conducting market research skills
• Maintaining accurate, audit‑ready records.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgement.
Ability:
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage simplified acquisitions, renewals, and routine modifications.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear guidance to contract administrators and vendors are critical.
