Job Duties

Eastern State Hospital, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, was founded in 1773, with a well-intentional emphasis on community focused mental health care. This state of the art campus, situated on 500 acres, consists of two patient care buildings with 300 patients, and a highly skilled staff of over 900. Eastern State Hospital is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) system, and is accredited by the Joint Commission.

This position will function as the Deputy Director of Purchasing & Contracts for Eastern State Hospital assisting the oversight of the operations of Purchasing Administration, Storeroom, Recycling, and Inventory Control.

Incumbent will perform duties under the supervision of the Director of Purchasing & Contracts. Interacts directly with Hospital Director, State Officials, Department Heads, supporting staff, contractors and Vendors. Supports the ESH vision, mission and values.

Minimum Qualifications

Credentials such as CPPB, CPPO, VCO, VCA or the ability to obtain within one year.

Experience with procurement and inventory purchasing processes.

Experience with APSPM and VPPA.
