Program Assistant, School of Medicine Dean's Office

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine is a premier academic medical center located in the heart of Richmond. Accounting for almost half of VCU’s sponsored research, the School of Medicine is internationally recognized for patient care and education.

Position Summary:

The School of Medicine faculty evaluation and curriculum vitae (cv) system is being updated. This position will assist current medical school faculty with uploading their cv and professional information into the new system, helping them to navigate within the program and troubleshooting issues that may arise.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn the new Portfolio system from a user standpoint
  
• Assist faculty champions as requested with issues that arise related to Portfolio system
  
• Assist individual faculty as assigned to complete their profiles in Portfolio and validate that all information that has been automatically downloaded from other systems is correct
  
• Communicate consistently with faculty members to ensure smooth transition to Portfolio system

Required Qualifications:

• Technologically savvy with user side of systems
• Comfortable technology use ( do not need to know how to program or update the software)
• Good organizational skills
  
• Professional communication skills
• Good attention to detail

Flexible & Remote, but will require some time during the 8-5 M-F
