Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia – principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Our scenic campus is located in Albemarle County, Virginia. We are one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System (VCCS).
The Workforce Services division at PVCC is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial team member to provide leadership for its shot-term, entry-level healthcare programs. This position works collaboratively with the division Dean and Operations team, as well as external college and community partners, to develop, deliver, and evaluate short-term, entry-level healthcare programs needed in Central Virginia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the College's short-term, entry-level healthcare programs to include curriculum development, faculty staffing, course scheduling, program budgeting, program marketing, compliance, and quality assurance.
Actively seek out new opportunities for program development, partnerships, customized training, and other revenue sources. Develop new healthcare programs and dynamic partnerships that meet regional needs.
Ensure high-quality instruction, positive student experiences, and strong student and employer satisfaction.
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate a strong faculty team. Mentor faculty in employing strategies that engage students and lead to student success.
Collaborate with faculty in developing, implementing, and evaluating healthcare curricula that are aligned with healthcare credentialing agencies.
Develop course schedules and align course offerings and frequency to meet regional employment needs.
Work with staff to collaboratively address student success challenges, develop remediation plans, and promote student completion, credentialing, and employment.
Monitor enrollment, completion, credentialing, and job placement of students in healthcare programs.
Maintain accurate and timely program, student, enrollment, financial, and credential records.
Ensure compliance with healthcare credentialing and accreditation agencies.
Develop, modify, and reconcile healthcare program budgets. Meet and exceed established revenue goals.
Outreach to and recruit students and qualified instructors for healthcare programs.
Partner with staff to share facilities, ensure clinical placement, and maintain clinical compliance for students and faculty.
Collaborate with college and community partners to create healthcare career pathways.
Serve on division, college, community, and statewide committees and project teams as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field or related area.
Excellent customer service skills.

Enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office.
Ability to work effectively both independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a healthcare field or related area.
Current certification or licensure as a healthcare professional.
Experience with community college, continuing education, or workforce service programs.
Experience developing, managing, and evaluating healthcare education programs.
Experience developing, evaluating, an aligning curricula.
Experience managing multiple program types and instructional team.
Experience supervising and mentoring others.
Experience developing new partnerships for student clinical experiences with healthcare employers in the Central Virginia region.
Knowledge of community college and adult/continuing education programs.
Experience coordinating educational programs.
