Registered Nurse Navigator for the Endocrine Clinic , you will play a critical role in guiding patients through the referral and scheduling process while helping ensure they receive timely , coordinated, and patient-centered endocrine care.

Working closely with providers, access specialists, referring clinicians, and patients, you will help shape a new role designed to improve access, streamline workflows, and enhance the overall patient experience within a growing specialty practice.
The Role As the Registered Nurse Navigator, you will serve as a clinical resource and central point of coordination for patients entering the Endocrine Clinic. This role blends clinical decision-making with patient engagement and operational collaboration, allowing you to practice at the top of your license while directly influencing access to specialty care.
The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Initial training will occur on-site, after which the role offers hybrid flexibility with several remote workdays each week. A typical day may include:
- Reviewing incoming referrals and determining appropriate triage pathways based on diagnosis and clinical urgency.
- Communicating with patients and referring providers regarding scheduling, medical records, and next steps in care.
- Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and access team members to ensure patients are connected with the appropriate provider within recommended timeframes .
- Utilizing established work queues, referral pathways, and scheduling processes to support efficient patient access.
- Supporting the ongoing development and refinement of clinic workflows, decision trees, and referral management processes.
- Engaging with patients before their initial visits to identify needs, answer questions, and improve their overall care experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Experience: Experience: 1 year of registered nursing experience required, 3 years of related and relevant registered nursing experience strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required. Specialty Board Certification strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
The pay range for this role is $41.26 - $54.52 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
