Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis, West Complex Kidney Center

The Role:

In this outpatient dialysis clinic setting , you will care for patients who often receive treatment multiple times each week, giving you the opportunity to truly know your patients , recognize subtle changes in condition, and contribute meaningfully to their quality of life. This role blends advanced clinical assessment, procedural readiness, treatment monitoring, collaboration with Patient Care Technicians, and consistent communication with the broader care team.

In an average day, you will:

• Assess and triage patients before dialysis treatment, using strong clinical judgment to determine readiness and safety.
  

• Monitor patient response throughout treatment, recognizing changes and escalating concerns appropriately.
  

• Oversee and support care delivered by Patient Care Technicians in a team-based clinical environment.
  

• Collaborate with charge nurses, educators, providers, and fellow team members to promote safe, high-quality care.
  

• Document care in Epic using established nursing templates and workflows.
  

• Build consistent, trust-based relationships with a chronic patient population while maintaining professional boundaries.
  

• Continue developing expertise in a nursing specialty that strengthens assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
