The Role

As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will serve as both a scrub nurse and circulating nurse within a modern orthopedic surgery center dedicated exclusively to musculoskeletal care. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and fellow nurses to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered perioperative care. In this role, you will:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing orthopedic surgical procedures.


  • Function in both scrub and circulating nurse capacities.


  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary surgical team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.


  • Support advanced orthopedic procedures, including robotic-assisted surgery .


  • Assist with patient assessment, preparation, intraoperative care, and recovery support.


  • Deliver care in a high-quality specialty environment focused on efficiency, safety, and patient experience.

  • Total Joint Replacement Surgery


  • Sports Medicine


  • Hand Surgery


  • Foot Surgery


  • Ankle Surgery


  • Orthopedic Robotics


This position offers a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) and outstanding work-life balance with no nights, no call, no weekends and no holidays.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
