The Department of Physical Therapy is looking for part-time research assistant (RA) to help conduct a NIH funded clinical trial examining a virtual reality intervention for chronic low back pain.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include scheduling participants, data collection on human subjects, data processing, and assisting in other activities in the motor control lab (MCL). All activities are under the supervision of Dr. Thomas (Director of MCL). Students must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of necessary tasks. The position is available beginning August 24, 2022.
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled with VCU and in good standings
Applicants should be resourceful, have strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and on teams.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in research, or experience with virtual reality gaming
