Position Responsibilities:
The L. Douglas Wilder of Government and Public is seeking two research assistants to provide background research and literature review, participant recruitment and tracking, scheduling and conducting participant Interviews, qualitative data coding, writing data summaries, community engagement and conducting focus groups.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Hiring Standards:
• Ph.D. Student or advanced Masters student (second year or higher) • Excellent writing skills and communication skills • Familiarity with qualitative research methods • Must be comfortable running group meetings • Must be able to work independently • Must be comfortable working with participants from diverse background • Must be comfortable engaging in discussions focused on race
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Hiring Standards:
Ph.D. student or above Some familiarity with social equity issues and literature is a plus Some familiarity with entrepreneurship is a plus Experience with qualitative coding software a plus Experience with community-engaged research a plus Familiarity with DEI literature a plus
