Research Assistant -Vascular and Integrative Physiology (VIP) Laboratory

The Vascular and Integrative Physiology (VIP) Laboratory, housed in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science, is seeking two research assistants to work on the recruitment and implementation of clinical trials with different populations under the supervision of Dr. Paula Rodriguez-Miguelez. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Recruiting study participants
Preparing and coordinating study visits
Complete experimental visits
Data collection, management, and analysis
Preparation of research abstracts, manuscripts, and reports.
Assisting with study-related documentation

Required Qualifications:

Successful candidates:
-Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
-Must have excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
-Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
-Must be able to work as part of a team and prioritize work requirements and multitask in a fast-paced environment
-Must be BLS/CPR certified (for the VIP Lab)

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a clinical research setting preferred
Previous experience using peripheral vascular technology preferred
Previous experience in sample/blood processing preferred
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in health or biology-related disciplines.
