This position provides support to the Service Desk for residential campus through strong customer service skills, referral to appropriate campus and community resources, and care and concern for residential well-being. The Service Desk is a 24-hour, 7-days a week operation with positions available for overnight staff.
Previous administrative support experience; demonstrated proficiency with current office computer software systems including word processing, relational databases, spreadsheets, and electronic mail; Knowledge of business English and ability to prepare correspondence, proofread, and edit documents; excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to interact in a professional and helpful manner with university officials, faculty, staff, students, parents, and the public, must have the ability to handle and maintain record confidentiality. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently during high stress times.
Experience with StarRez, HokieServ, CSGold, Maxient or similar software.
