SSTT’s ARE NOW ELIGIBLE FOR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
Evening Shift $2.50 (weekday) and $3.00 (weekend); Night Shift $2.25 (weekday) and $3.00 (weekend)
The Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation (VCBR), located in Burkeville, VA is a behavioral treatment center recognized for its excellence by securely housing and treating civilly committed sex offenders. VCBR provides recovery, opportunity and support to residents so they may safely return to their communities and is the only facility in the Commonwealth that provides such service.
VCBR is seeking applicants for Safety, Security and Treatment Technicians to maintain security and treatment of the resident population. This position is responsible for the supervision, control and observation of residents within the facility. Duties include; assisting in daily living activities, providing supervision for recreation, monitor resident activity and movement; consistently observe and correct resident behavior in a non-confrontational and professional manner; document activities and ensures all oral and written reports are factual, professional and clear. In addition, this position accounts for residents and equipment, as directed within facility’s posted orders and policies; monitors cameras to ensure safety is maintained.
Must have the ability to work all posts and shifts as assigned by duty roster and in accordance with supervisor’s instructions.
This posting is for evening shift (2:00 PM – 12:30 AM) and/or night shift (10:00 PM – 8:30 AM)
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License.
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in Human Services is preferred.
Prior experience working in a forensic mental health or comparable setting is preferred.
Experience working with Sex Offenders is preferred.
