The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE) is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, Senior Administrative Assistant to support business operations in a fast-paced office environment. This position is responsible for purchasing, travel and general reimbursements, travel planning, managing room and parking requests. Additional responsibilities include special projects, providing general administrative support to faculty, poster printing, editing documents, greeting visitors and assisting with events. The successful candidate will provide high-level operational support, genuine and consistent daily contributions and be willing to learn new skills necessitated by changing needs of the DMSE.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent with four years relevant experience. Bachelor's degree may substitute for years of experience.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency in using Oracle, ChromeRiver, UBI
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Possess strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to details
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects, manage conflicting demands efficiently and under tight deadlines
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Ability to work well in a team or independently
Proven ability to adapt to change
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge of Workday Financials
Knowledge of University purchasing and travel policies
