The University of Virginia, Division of General Medicine, Geriatrics, Palliative, &

Hospital Medicine, in the School of Medicine, is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Nurse Liaison.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Serve as an expert in geriatric nursing care to serve as nursing liaison with participating facilities
  • Build and maintain communication with community of practice to garner needs identified to address in discussion sessions, as well as practical implementation examples, innovation, and case-based use experts to present
  • Recruit staff from LTC facilities across Virginia into the community of practice through marketing efforts and direct connection.
  • Assist with coordination and implementation of web-based dialogue and direct connecting participants with infection control experts to get questions answered.
  • Assist in leading the team in curating resources, scheduling with participants and experts
  • Additional duties as needed in support of other VICE team members.

This position is grant funded and expected to continue through 7-31-23. Continuation of this role through 7-31-24 will be funding-dependent.

Qualified candidates must have:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience:At least seven years of experience. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

This position is located in Charlottesville, VA and is eligible for a hybrid schedule.

The position will remain open until filled. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment. A completed pre-employment health screen is required for this position prior to employment.
