Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - ENT Otolaryngology Fontaine

UVA Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support ENT/Otolaryngology at Fontaine. In this primarily daytime ambulatory clinic opportunity , you will work alongside specialty clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support patients throughout their visits while helping maintain an organized, responsive clinical environment.

This role is an excellent fit for a CMA who is comfortable managing multiple priorities, anticipates the needs of patients and providers, and brings a calm, organized approach to a fast-moving specialty clinic . The Fontaine area also offers convenient free parking , making daily access to the clinic easier for team members and patients.

The Role

As a Certified Medical Assistant in ENT/Otolaryngology, you will provide direct clinical and operational support in a busy outpatient practice. Your attention to detail will help clinicians remain focused on assessment and treatment while ensuring patients receive clear, respectful, and well-coordinated care.

The Fontaine ENT team serves patients with a range of otolaryngology needs in a specialty-focused environment that values efficient clinical flow, timely communication, and patient-centered service . You will collaborate closely with providers and clinical colleagues, balancing hands-on patient care with the preparation, documentation, and follow-through required in a high-volume ambulatory setting.

In an average day, you may:

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including obtaining and documenting appropriate clinical information.
  

• Measure and record vital signs, update patient information, and communicate relevant findings to the clinical team.
  

• Prepare examination and treatment areas with the supplies and equipment needed for patient care.
  

• Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and office-based procedures.
  

• Support the collection, handling, and processing of specimens and diagnostic testing as assigned.
  

• Administer medications, injections, or other treatments as directed and within applicable scope.
  

• Clean, disinfect, and prepare clinical instruments and equipment in accordance with established standards.
  

• Provide patients with instructions and reinforce education directed by the care team.
  

• Document care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.
  

• Respond to patient needs, coordinate with team members, and help maintain safe, efficient clinic operations.

The pay range for this role is $19.37 - $26.83 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
