Position Responsibilities:
The School of Education is excited to invite candidates who will serve as a Special Projects Assistant with the School of Education's Office of Information Technology Services. The Special Projects Assistant will:
• Assists with installation of software applications and software updates as needed (word processing, antivirus, etc.) for faculty and staff of School of Education.
• Assists in advanced troubleshooting technology problems with desktop, laptop and peripheral technologies (use and program operation, printer use, operating system , virus identification, etc).
• Assists with troubleshooting internet problems with desktops and networks (email usage, accessing and downloading files, IP and ISP access and configuration, World Wide Web access, etc).
• Assists in distance education broadcasts (operation and setup of video conferencing equipment, connectivity with distance site, assistance to faculty during broadcasts).
• Assists with editing, duplication, and/or conversion for all digital video projects submitted by faculty, providing timely and accurate project completion.
• Assists with conversion of older media, i.e. VHS tapes, to digital media.
• Assists with scanning of documents, etc, to convert to digital.
• Assists with photography and/or video recording and production for ad hoc requests from faculty.
• Assists in gathering and imputing data to update technology lab inventories as needed.
• Assists in providing assistance with operation and instruction of software programs to faculty and students when requested within lab environment.
• Assists in gathering and imputing data to update technology lab inventories as needed.
• Maintain Lab opening and closing, equipment checkout, setup and return, when required.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Technology or his appointed designee.
Required Qualifications:
-Working knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
-Knowledge of software installation & configuration.

-Networking knowledge
