Job Description
Provide efficient and effective oversight for Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine enrollment management and assistant registrar functions. Administers and manages all aspects of enrollment from matriculation through graduation in accordance with VTCSOM and Virginia Tech policies and procedures, in addition to the standards required by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and the US Department of Education.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with experience in higher education, management, or a related field
Significant knowledge of the handling, function, compliance, and processing pertaining to academic records and registration work in a university setting.
Understanding enrollment management best practices.
Demonstrable project management skills
Ability to effectively interact and build trusted relationships with diverse internal and external constituencies including students, staff, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrable experience in the supervision of personnel.
Ability to work independently and a high level of decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Progressive experience in a registrar setting preferably dealing with medical student records and medical transcripts.
Skills in MS Office, relational databases, and other student information systems
