Job Duties

The Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents is seeking a full time Staffing Coordinator who will schedule employees utilizing the KRONOS system to meet staffing/coverage requirements on buildings/living areas to ensure quality care is provided to Individuals in Residence; provide balanced coverage utilizing familiar staff on all units when possible and scheduling staff to other areas when necessary to ensure coverage throughout the facility on all shifts, weekends, and holidays; create schedule patterns for new employees; and revise schedule patterns as needed to maintain balanced coverage.

The Staffing Coordinator will also communicate with RN Mangers at the beginning of each shift to ensure that coverage is in place on each unit; communicate stayover assignments to Charge Nurse and convey any changes and/or needs to Shift Charge Nurse in a timely manner; notify RN Managers when employees fail to follow Policy and/or Nursing Department Scheduling Guidelines; take call out phone calls from employees that are unable to come to work; and may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

- high school diploma or equivalent
- comprehensive knowledge principles of customer and personal service
- experience and knowledge of scheduling processes and principles
- knowledge and ability to document, follow regulations and policies, of English language, and scheduling systems
- ability to identify problems and proficiency in personal computers and Microsoft Office Software, and coordination,
- must have interpersonal diplomacy/professionalism, judgment and decision making, and have time management.
- ability and experience with written and verbal comprehension; written and verbal communications; problem sensitivity; problem resolution; and wrist-finger dexterity

Additional Considerations

- Working knowledge of CCCA Services and staffing/coverage needs
- Working knowledge of facility attendance, tardiness and overtime policies
- Experience in scheduling employees in computerized scheduling system
