UVA Temps is recruiting for organized, detail oriented, and professional persons to fill Temporary Transporter roles within the Medical Center.
3 shifts available Monday--Friday, 40 hours/week
7am--3:30pm
3pm--11:30pm
11pm--7:30am
Job Responsibilities:
Transport patients, equipment, specimens, and deceased within University Hospital.
Clean equipment for patient care.
Significant interaction with patients while transporting.
Use a web-based dispatch system to retrieve transport jobs on mobile device.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail. Ability to lift/push/pull 50--100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, noise, outdoor climate, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease
