Job Duties

Serves as Highway Equipment Operator to the Agribusiness operations by performing those duties and tasks necessary to ensure the distributions, loading, unloading and packaging of produce, milk, meat, and other items produced by Agribusiness. Promote agricultural business in the deliveries of produce, milk, meat, and other items produced by agribusiness to Department of Corrections (DOC) and Non-Department of Corrections agencies. This is an hourly position without state benefits and limited hours.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of valid state motor vehicles operator’s license. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Successful completion of prescribed physical exam by a qualified physician. Maintenance of vehicles for transport. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy duty trucks. Skilled in customer service techniques and teamwork. General knowledge of farming and agricultural production. Demonstrated ability to follow direction and supervise others in all aspects of modern farm techniques and technology.

Additional Considerations

Experience managing a an agricultural or corrections operation. Tanker endorsement and milk handler’s permit, or ability to obtain both within 60 days of hiring. Completion of high school or equivalent.
