Laurel Ridge Community College is looking for a motivated and reliable Trades Technician who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in doing the job right. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work on a variety of tasks. In this role, candidates will work directly with tools, equipment, and materials to support installation, maintenance, and repair projects across a variety of trade disciplines. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills.
Classified: Compensation and Benefits

- Demonstrated maintenance experience
- Ability to lift heavy objects; drivers license
- Demonstrated experience using landscaping equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, etc.
- Demonstrated experience operating equipment such as bobcats, snow plows, tractors, etc. apprenticeship, certification or license in a dedicated trade such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC
- Experience in a variety of trades
- Demonstrated experience leading and completing a variety of projects
- Forklift certification
- Experience w/small engine/mechanical repair
