Summary:

We invite applications for a Project Administrator position in the Psychology Department at Virginia Commonwealth University working with Dr. Michael Southam-Gerow. The position would hold the title of Training Director working within the Center for Evidence-based Partnerships in Virginia (https://www.cep-va.org). The position is funded by state contracts. The focus of the position is to promote, direct, and manage training awards to provider companies for evidence-based programs (EBPs) in the state.

NOTE: The successful candidate understands that this is a restricted position and ongoing employment depends on continued funding.

Typical Duties

The focus of the position is to promote, direct, and manage training awards to provider companies for evidence-based programs (EBPs) in the state.

Key roles will include:
(a) promotion of training awards;
(b) oversight over and management of the applications submitted via the application portal;
(c) working with applicants through the application and training process and during the follow-up period;
(d) working closely with EBP purveyors throughout training process and the follow-up period;
(e) working with VCU fiscal team to manage training expenses (e.g., purchase orders, budget monitoring);
(f) operating in a leadership role at training events; and
(g) supervision of training coordinator.

Duties will require knowledge of multiple evidence-based programs, strong leadership skills, strong teamwork orientation, attention to detail, commitment to completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner, and ability to communicate data-based findings to a broad audience. Position will also require supervision of one direct report. The position may involve some travel (reimbursable) around the state of Virginia to host training events and to present findings to partners.
