Treasury Analyst

Job Description:

• Analyze the University’s daily cash position, ensure all accounts are funded, and cash is optimally deployed.
• Coordinate the transfer of funds within and between Financial Institutions, and timely execution of wire transfers to optimize potential savings.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and annual cash flow forecasts. This includes providing a cash flow variance analysis that identifies monthly changes and deviations in the cash flow forecast.
• Coordinate the banking needs of all University departments and partner with Financial Institutions to meet those needs.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for cash management throughout the University to provide proper security of assets.
• Manage and maintain Treasury data, reports, and banking records. Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports to stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Treasury team to manage and initiate transactions for the Long Term Pool investments.
• Coordinate and analyze financial transactions for the University’s Strategic Investment Fund
• Lead or collaborate on other projects or responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Two years’ experience in a financial role
• Strong understanding of cash positioning, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity
• Outstanding analytical skills and forward thinking
• Proficient in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel
