VCU Athletics *Equipment Room* Graduate Assistant

VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Room and provide support for all 17 varsity athletics teams.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Inventory control of athletic apparel and equipment;
• Maintenance and repair of equipment;
• Helping prepare for road games and competitions;
• Helping with the organization and management of athletic department vans;
• Assisting with the management of student managers; and
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Admittance into a VCU graduate program; and
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a graduate assistant at VCU.

Preferred:
• Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics;
• Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented; and
• Exceptional verbal and written communication.

An applicant who is admitted to VCU’s Center for Sport Leadership (CSL) may receive funding from both CSL and the VCU Athletics Department if they are the selected finalist.

There is one (1) open position within the Equipment Room.
This graduate assistant position for 2023-24 will be open until filled, and review of applications will begin immediately.
