VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Room and provide support for all 17 varsity athletics teams.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Inventory control of athletic apparel and equipment; • Maintenance and repair of equipment; • Helping prepare for road games and competitions; • Helping with the organization and management of athletic department vans; • Assisting with the management of student managers; and • Other projects and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: • Admittance into a VCU graduate program; and • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a graduate assistant at VCU.
Preferred: • Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics; • Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented; and • Exceptional verbal and written communication.
