Summary:
The VCUarts Department of Photography + Film is establishing a pool of applicants on an ongoing basis for adjunct teaching positions. The Department of Photography + Film will consult the adjunct applicant pool and contact qualified applicants for interviews on an as- needed basis.
Adjunct professors for the VCUarts Department of Photography + Film provide course instruction in any of the following areas: analog and digital photography, lighting, digital video, or composition and design principles. Our courses can require in-person teaching or online instruction.
If an adjunct opportunity arises, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree in a related field, or training and professional experience that equates to a terminal degree.
- Appropriate teaching experience and/or strong oral presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

• Portfolio of work- visual documentation of professional work, and examples of student work, if available.
