VIB seeks a VIB Service Contracts Manager to support the Director of Service Contracts (S/C) in administrative, hiring, and management duties for multiple federal, state, and commercial contracts dispersed across the Commonwealth. In addition, to assist in developing and growing new service contracts that will provide increased career opportunities for Virginians who are blind.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge/Experience:

• Supervisory or managerial experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel and the Internet.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Skill to create and maintain complex Excel data spreadsheets. 
  • Skill to manage tasks in directing the works of others to maintain the staffing of the Service Contracts operations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and with a diverse customer base, verbally and in writing, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and make logical conclusions in the analysis and solution of complex service planning and performance issues.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.

Additional Considerations:

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and Agency regulations and policies as they pertain to Service Contracts. 
  • Training or knowledge of the detailed requirements for administering federal subcontracts under the federal Service Contract Act (SCA) program.
  • Knowledge of policies and practices involved in personnel and human resources functions including recruitment, selection, training, and promotion, counseling, and training techniques.
  • Knowledgeable of accessibility features and licenses required to use MS Office in a business environment.
