Job Duties

Responsible for overseeing the enforcement of student conduct policies within residential halls, managing disciplinary actions, promoting a positive community culture, and educating students on expectations regarding behavior and living standards, often collaborating with the Office of the Dean of Students and other campus departments to address student concerns and uphold the university's code of conduct. This position works to design and implement programs within the residential communities that promote leadership, character-building, civility, advocacy, and excellence and requires strong communication, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Attentiveness to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal/human relations skills, excellent organizational/planning skills. Must be able to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and possess excellent personal computer skills. Must be able to function well under intense pressure.

Additional Considerations

Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification required for entry into position: Must possess a minimum of a master's degree in counseling, Psychology, Student Personnel, Education, or a related student affairs field.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a master's degree in counseling, Psychology, Student Personnel, Education, or a student affairs field. Must have a minimum of one 2 years’ supervisory experience in a student affairs-related discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Student Personnel, Education, or a related student affairs field. A minimum of two years’ supervisory experience within a college student housing environment strongly preferred and at least one year’s experience implementing programs grounded in a student development theoretical foundation.
