Job Description

To attend to housekeeping needs that are both routine and nonroutine in nature in order to achieve a prescribed level of sanitation, cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of all assigned residence halls and act as a liaison between upper level management and housekeeping workers. Assume supervisors duties in his/her absence and assists housekeeping supervisor by leading and directing housekeeping workers in the performance of their duties.

Required Qualifications

• Considerable experience of cleaning methods, techniques, cleaning equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge and experience with safety practices related to work.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and lead the work of others, ability to make independent decisions and judgments in absence of the supervisor.
• Capable of developing a good working relationship with workers, students, and professional staff.
• Ability to follow and explain both written and oral instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent.
