    General Information:

    The Pharmacy Assistant will perform tasks that assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician with a goal to maximize the efficiency of the pharmacy. Assisting with the sales of over-the-counter products and entering sales information into the electronic inventory and accounting system will be the primary duties.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Understand and maintain 100% patient confidentiality.
    Enter customer information and sales data into the electronic inventory and accounting system.
    Handle the sales of over-the-counter medications when necessary.
    Assist with order processing and stocking.
    Work with pharmacy staff to maintain and update inventory records.

     

    Qualifications:

    Ability to learn how to use the Electronic Medical Record.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    A VA Pharmacy Tech license is preferred but not required.
    Customer service experience is preferred.
    Good communication skills.
    Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Conditions of Employment:  

    Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
