Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Associate Director of Admissions Operations reports to and assists the Director of Admissions Operations with primary responsibility of the university’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, Slate. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity and functionality of the CRM as it relates to the full application lifecycle—from initial submission through reader review and final admission decision.

This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of data within the system and supervises the team responsible for processing application materials. The Associate Director also collaborates closely with the CRM management team, application reviewers, and institutional partners who rely on admissions data to support enrollment efforts. A key focus of the position is to enhance Slate CRM to streamline processes and gain efficiencies, continuously evaluating workflows, automating manual tasks, and implementing innovative solutions that improve the applicant and staff experience.

Given the supervisory and collaborative nature of the role, this is a hybrid position, with on-site presence required for team leadership and cross-functional coordination

Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications

  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Exhibits strong oral and written communication abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possesses an analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a proven ability to assess issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently while also contributing effectively in a collaborative team setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years of higher ed operations or related experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with databases and the management of data.

 

Additional Considerations:

  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and drive innovation.
  • Experience with Slate (CRM).
  • Experience with Banner (SIS).
  • Experience with Admissions or higher education environment.
