Job Duties

Performs professional level work of moderate difficulty requiring the application of
accounting theory and principles. Characteristic duties: develop methods of recording
fiscal transactions, allocate funds, update and maintain accounting systems,
independently prepare financial statements/reports/cost analyses, and develop and
present budgets and other financial information for review. Other major duties: all
functions of compensation accounting that includes assuring timely processing of
payrolls, distribution of checks, preparing federal/state tax reporting, fringe benefits
and premium conversion. May supervise or lead fiscal paraprofessionals and/or other
support personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices
including cost accounting.
• Knowledge of the use of data processing techniques in maintaining
accounting records.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to apply and adapt established accounting methods to a
variety of financial transactions and records and multiple funding streams.
• Demonstrated ability to design and compile financial reports and statements

Previous Accounting, Business, and/or related experience.
