Job Duties

Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center is looking for highly motivated, experienced healthcare professionals to join our team! Our Center VISION and MISSION for JCVCC is to provide the best nursing care, rehabilitation, and life experience for Virginia Veteran residents while accomplishing excellence in all areas of Center operations. Our Center CORE VALUES place a priority on having an excellent attitude, providing the best customer service, and taking pride in achieving outstanding results and performance.

Most importantly, we place a premium on delivering quality care for our Veteran residents above all else. We are passionate about the care we provide! Our goal is to provide each resident with a meaningful life through a whole-person approach to care. We provide physical healthcare, recreational, spiritual, therapeutic, and social opportunities that contribute to overall physical and mental health.

By seeking a career with JCVCC, you will have the opportunity to be a part of and work side by side with an experienced and distinguished executive leadership team as we build our staff from the ground up. You will also be a member of the Department of Veteran Services for the great Commonwealth of Virginia which includes excellent health care and retirement benefits. We are committed to all of our employees having a great work/life balance.

The brand new Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center (JCVCC) is named after two Virginia heroes. Air Force Colonel William A. Jones III of Norfolk was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in Vietnam. Army Staff Sergeant Christopher F. Cabacoy of Virginia Beach was killed in Afghanistan in 2010 when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb. The Jones & Cabacoy VCC honors their service to the Nation and the Commonwealth. The Jones & Cabacoy VCC was built to serve our Veterans. They served us, now it is our duty to serve them. JCVCC is nestled in an ideal location in the Princess Anne section of Virginia Beach on a 25-acre site adjacent to Nimmo Parkway (extended), West Neck Rd, and N. Landing Rd. This pristine 128-bed facility is state of the art with immaculate outside landscaping and features all private rooms that will be organized into eight 16-bed households that surround a central community center and rehabilitation gym. Each 16-bed sub unit includes a dining room, kitchenette and dayroom adjoined access to a courtyard.

You will have the full support of the entire DVS team, including the Administrators of the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke, Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care in Richmond, and the brand-new Puller Veterans Care Center in Fauquier County (the “twin” of Jones & Cabacoy VCC). We are here to help you succeed!

You will also have the full support of the Virginia Beach community. The opening of the Jones & Cabacoy VCC is eagerly anticipated and there will be no end of support for social and volunteer activities, both at the Jones & Cabacoy VCC and in the community.

This is a state position with excellent health care and retirement benefits. We are committed to all of our employees having a great work/life balance.

Take your career to the next level by joining our team!
