Adjunct Faculty - daVinci Center

The da Vinci Center at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicants for the 2023-2024 academic year for possible adjunct teaching positions. Should funding for such adjunct teaching positions become available, the da Vinci Center will contact persons in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.

This posting will remain active until June 30, 2024. After June 30, 2024, you will need to reapply to the updated posting if you would like to remain in the adjunct pool.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses for VCU da Vinci Center’s Undergraduate Certificates, Masters in Product Innovation and Human-Centered Design courses.

Required Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree or 5+ years relevant work experience
- Experience and knowledge of design thinking principles
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior teaching experience

- Advanced Degree

- Experience with design thinking principles and training programs, innovation and entrepreneurship-based curriculum development, and mentoring and coaching students
