Paul D. Camp Community College is in search of a part-time Nursing instructor interested in supporting the college’s Practical Nursing Program. Working with Practical Nursing student in the clinical and lab setting, while meeting specific learning needs, dependent upon the students’ educational semester. The clinical instructor will be responsible for all modules and orientation related to the assigned facility. The instructor must provide positive, professional representation of the college at all times, while maintaining a supportive role for the students. The instructor must ensure that the clinical experiences are meaningful for the student and related to current or previous learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in Virginia. ADN required. A minimum of two years’ full time work experience in the field. Ability to work well with nursing faculty and students to facilitate learning. Experience with clinical simulation use in nursing education or willingness to learn. Current CPR (BLS for healthcare providers) and documentation of all routine healthcare employee immunizations. Flexible schedule; ability to travel to various hospitals and long term care facilities. Official transcripts will be required prior to final offer. Must maintain 30 hours of continuing education every two years.
Preferred Qualifications:
RN licensure clinical experience. BSN. Long term and acute care experience. Teaching and/or preceptorship experience.
