Job Duties

Performs clerical and administrative functions in support of the Operations Manager, Records Manager, the Institutional Ombudsman, and the Institutional Hearings Officer. Assisting Operations Manager with ACA Standards. Provides administrative support in the areas of compliance management, policy/procedure development, and the inmate Grievance procedure. Assists Operations Manager with researching and responding to inquiries from inmates, the general public, and other Commonwealth of Virginia and Department of Corrections (DOC) employees on a variety of issues. Assists with implementation memorandums and with coordination of security and certification audits and accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge to work independently with minimal supervision, providing clerical support to various departments. Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines. Experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access software programs.

Additional Considerations

Prefer experience working with VACORIS applications and ACA standards.
