It reviews various databases for situational awareness and makes entries in automated information systems. It produces reports, charts, and graphs through analysis for projects and investigations. It develops visual presentations. It collaborates with DOC staff and others to receive, obtain, and disseminate information concerning threats to the safety, security and orderly operation of DOC correctional facilities and/or the community at large.

The selected candidate will be required to complete a documented training program and/or demonstrate competency within 1 year of hire.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and the active collaboration process. Knowledge of analytical application programs and software to produce maps, text, tables, graphs, and charts. Knowledge of automated inmate management databases and/or other information technology systems utilized in a corrections, criminal justice, and/or law enforcement environment. Ability to apply critical thinking to diverse information sets to produce logic-based analysis and recommendations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and representatives both inside and outside the DOC to obtain and categorize intelligence-related information and materials. The selected candidate must have the ability to work rotating shifts on an as-needed basis.
