Job Duties

The Assistant Food Service Manager supports the daily operations of the food service department to ensure quality food and nutrition services to residents. Including preparation, service, sanitation, and safety. This role assists in supervising food service staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and nutrition regulations. Responsible for all food service operations in the absence of the Food Service Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong understanding of food preparation, storage and service procedures.
Proficient in inventory management and basic ordering systems.
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements.

Additional Considerations

ServSafe certification preferred. Previous healthcare/long term care experience preferred. 2 years of experience in food services.
