Job Description

Reporting to the Administrative Assistant at Perry Place, a fast pace collegiate dining facility, the Cash Office Supervisor is responsible for the funds management (credit cards), Deposits, training, and supervision of all cashiers. Routinely performs various bookkeeping functions, data entry and other clerical work as needed such as typing, filing, copying and answering phones. Oversees the management of the online catering request for America To Go working with various departments on campus to process catering requests. Responsible for Franchise reporting in a timely matter with accuracy. Completes daily and weekly meal plan audits in accordance with the dining and university policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in funds management (credit cards) and a solid understanding of proper funds handling practices.
• Previous experience in bookkeeping, including reconciling revenue and preparing accurate reports.
• Previous supervisory experience in either food service or retail operations.
• Previous experience in operating electronic cash registers, credit card machines, and processing transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with inventory control and record-keeping procedures.
• Previous experience with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (or similar), particularly Excel.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and data entry skills as well as interpersonal communication skills.
• Previous experience in clerical tasks such as typing, filing, copying, and answering phones.
• Proficiency in using a 10-key adding machine/calculator.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with funds handling (credit cards) and especially large credit card deposits.
• Experience with Hokie Passport, CSGold, and Micros reporting systems.
• Knowledge of franchise reporting for branded operations.
• Familiarity with mobile ordering platforms like GrubHub.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check as well as a driving check with a safe driving record.

Schedule will be Monday - Friday and as needed for good customer service.
