Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality is seeking a qualified candidate to support and provide direct services to the Division of Enforcement that ensure continuity and efficient operations. Responsibilities range from immediate to long-term in supporting program goals, objectives, and service needs. Employee performs an array of technical, research, analytical, program assessment, and administrative activities. Employee performs responsibilities ranging from entry level professional to technical consultants.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of enforcement program areas and related administrative and data/record repository systems (CEDS, ECM, SharePoint, and Tableau). Adaptive communication skills for interactions inside and outside of the organization. An ability to adapt and manage change to ensure program success. Demonstrated skills assisting with development of policies and procedures, providing compliance assistance, customer service, promoting program goals and objectives, and providing technical assistance with analytical software (MS Excel and Tableau). Demonstrated skills in supporting long-range program planning and development; ability to monitor program performance and service delivery; and ability to provide oversight of quality assurance and quality control of Division data and records. Knowledge of court records/filing systems, preparing exhibits, and filing court documents. Ability to conduct legal research and knowledge of legal research databases (Westlaw/Lexis). Knowledge of records retention and FOIA policies and assist with FOIA requests.
