Job Duties
Coordinate visibility, outreach and digital engagement, and public awareness for all agency programs and/or specialized program activities. Shape the agency’s digital strategies by analyzing the performance of campaigns, content, and customer journeys across diverse digital media channels and social platforms. Assist our internal teams and clients with understanding the impact of digital content and social media on job seeker and employer behavior. Maintain and foster positive working relationships with DWDA boards, the Governor’s Communication’s Office, the Secretary of Labor’s office, and other DWDA stakeholders. Provide leadership and strategic advice on the agency’s public image, issues management and monitoring, and stakeholder relations. Reporting to the Chief Deputy Commissioner, support agency leadership, teams, staff and clients statewide, managing analytics projects, handling reporting, and providing strategic recommendations to drive growth and engagement. Oversee the agency’s communications strategy, assist with policy development and implementation, and promote priority initiatives. Continuously work to align communication strategy with agency vision, mission, and goals. May represent DWDA and the Commissioner’s Office at state and national meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
• Extensive knowledge of public relations; communication and engagement methods, trends, and techniques; social media platforms and best practices; outreach strategies and channels; and the digital media, digital marketing and social media landscape, including user behavior, measurable techniques, and content trends.
• Strong oral and written communication, social media, facilitation, multi-tasking, supervisory, and analytical skills
• Ability to promote the organization, make critical decisions, ensure organizational alignment, build relationships, and monitor the agency's economic, political, and demographic context; perform under deadlines and manage controversial and sensitive assignments; prepare reports, presentations, and press releases; retrieve and analyze data from various sources, deriving key insights for diverse audiences (including internal stakeholders and clients); understand the impact of digital and social platforms on brand narratives; and represent DWDA in meetings with various parties (e.g., board members, government officials, and the general public).
• Experience managing vendor/contractor deliverables on time and on budget.

Additional Considerations
• Awareness of regional and national events as they pertain to the business of DWDA and its mission and initiatives.
• Experience in leveraging digital media channels for maximum impact, including social (Facebook, Twitter(X), Instagram, Threads, etc.) video (YouTube, Tik Tok, Twitch, etc.) and streaming (Hulu, TV networks, FireTV, Roku, etc.) platforms.
• Experience interpreting social media analytics and working with workforce programs.
